Pool renovation

Many of the finest pools were built decades ago, and it shows: tired tiling, worn grout, dated equipment and running costs that climb every year. Renovation brings a pool back, and done well it can transform not just the water but the whole setting around it.

We retile and repoint, renew liners and finishes, and replace filtration, heating and covers with modern, efficient equipment that quietly cuts the cost of ownership. Where the moment is right, we go further, reworking the surrounding terrace, lighting and planting so the pool feels new rather than merely repaired.

Every renovation starts with an honest survey: what must be done, what could be done, and what can wait.

Is it time to renovate your pool?

Not every pool needs a complete rebuild. Often, the first signs are practical ones — failing grout or tiles, unexplained water loss, an ageing liner, outdated plant equipment or running costs that are steadily increasing.

In other cases, the pool may still function well but its surrounds and finishes simply feel tired or dated. A renovation gives us the opportunity to look at both the visible finish and the systems behind it, identifying what can be retained, what needs attention and where improvements will make the biggest difference.

A practical team for both fabric and plant

Pool renovation often crosses the line between building work and pool engineering. Our in-house team can take care of the physical renovation — surrounds, finishes and associated construction — while our pool engineers deal with filtration, heating, controls, leak investigation and equipment upgrades.

That means the visible finish and the systems behind it can be considered together. Where specialist expertise is required, we bring in trusted subcontractors we know and work with regularly.
